Description

Israel Shotridge Limited Edition #34/50 925 Silver Lovebird Pendant (7.80g.)

Expertly crafted by renowned Tlingit master carver and culture bearer Israel Shotridge, this sterling silver pendant showcases a beautifully detailed traditional Northwest Coast design.

The design depicts an Eagle and a Raven intertwined into a single cohesive composition. In Tlingit culture, this powerful emblem symbolizes the union of marriage between members of opposite clans, making the pendant both culturally significant and deeply meaningful.

Born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska, Shotridge was a member of the Teikweidee (Bear) Clan of the Taantakwan (Tongass) Tribe, and his Tlingit name, Kinstaádaál, translates to "The Bear that is Standing Up."

His work is celebrated for preserving and sharing Tlingit culture through exceptional craftsmanship. Best known for his custom-engraved sterling silver and gold jewelry, Shotridge's creations are highly sought after by collectors of authentic Northwest Coast Native American art.

This pendant is individually numbered 34 of only 50 produced, making it a rare limited-edition collectible. Following Shotridge's passing in April 2026, his body of work became finite, further enhancing the significance and collectibility of authentic pieces such as this. Signed and dated by the artist, this pendant is both a wearable work of art and an exceptional addition to any serious Native American jewelry collection.

In excellent condition (9/10), this original piece shows light surface wear consistent with gentle use. PM Number: PM2019392.
