The Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph Ref. 16253—also known by collectors as the “Thunderbird”—represents one of Rolex’s most distinctive Datejust variations. Featuring a 36mm stainless steel case paired with 18k yellow gold and a bi-directional rotating bezel, this two-tone design blends functionality and timeless elegance. The Turn-O-Graph was the first Rolex to feature a rotating bezel, later inspiring the legendary Submariner and GMT-Master lines.
Powered by the automatic Rolex Caliber 3035 with a 50-hour power reserve, this model offers quick-set date functionality and smooth precision. In good vintage condition (8/10) with normal wear and a replacement crystal, this piece was recently serviced (9/25/2025) and runs at +5 seconds per day.
